Legend says that Daarivux allowed [[Sol]] to ride him to defeat [[Vile Abaddon]] in the skies of [[Aurora]]. This alliance is also told to be the origin of the [[dragonborn]]. Daarivux was portrayed as good, but still mercurial and fierce, and mortals would be best off avoiding them. Saint Daarivux is usually evoked in prayers of protection, to keep storms and conflicts away. Sailors pray to Saint Daarivux to be safe from storms, and villages might create shrines to Saint Daarivux if a dragon nests nearby. Sorcerers are sometimes told to be touched by Saint Daarivux, but don’t necessarily pray to them.
