# [[Heretic Church of the Golden Horizon]] The Church of the Golden Horizon is an offshoot of the [[Church of Sol]], weaponized by [[Vile King Lucius IV|King Lucius the IV]] to persecute goblinoid worshippers of [[Ab'Adun]], and later to take over the empire and start the Reign of Terror. Members of the church follow it exclusively as a cult to King Lucius and are usually members of the [[Church of Sol]] as well, but believe that [[Saint Lucius the Purifier]] was an avatar of [[Sol]], and worship both as the same. To the Church of the Golden Horizon, necromancy is a tool of the divine to subjugate the unbelievers. Power and eternal life are the ultimate goal. The undead are sometimes raised as servants, though raising a member of the church as a mindless undead is considered impolite.
