The board contains the words “yes”, “no”, “hello”, and “goodbye”. >At the end of the performance, pour half of the drink to the dead, drink the rest, and turn the cup upside down over the “hello” on board to ask a question. >Sustain: Pour another drink for every question asked. This sustains the ritual for another minute. > **EFFECT** >You may ask a yes-or-no question to the deceased. The deceased must understand the language of the question, and it isn’t bound to answer truthfully. The glass moves to “yes” or “no” as the deceased answers. A new question can be asked every minute. The deceased may choose to move the glass to “goodbye” to end the procedure. > **AFTERMATH** >For the next 24 hours, you become poisoned from the heightened effects of the alcohol used in the ritual. During this time, you also can’t use hit dice to heal while resting, and you don’t heal or recover spent hit dice on a long rest.
