# [[Welcome Letter]] A letter received by the first members of the [[Scavenger's League of Fortuna]] from [[Aatratux the Resourceful]] as a briefing for their mission. ## Document ![[The Scavengers League of Fortuna - Welcome Letter.pdf]] ## Transcribed **The Scavengers League of Fortuna** As we extend our operations into the colony of [[Fortuna]], we warmly welcome you to the most esteemed and accomplished explorer's association in [[Ibir]]! The [[Grand Duke Felipe Marino de Fortuna|Grand-Duke]] himself has entrusted us with the task of journeying through the colony alongside a royal cartographer to update the map of the region. Your crew's primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of the cartographer while thoroughly exploring as much of the colony's territory as possible. In addition to this undertaking, your crew is tasked with investigating remnants of the ancient [[Saint Bartholomew the Finder|Saint Bartholomew]]'s [[Flagbearer]] Campaign in [[Fortuna]]. Legend holds that Bartholomew's crew, before vanishing 150 years ago, uncovered vast treasures and concealed them in hidden outposts across the land. However, a curse befell them, transforming the expedition members into ravenous undead beings. Among these treasures, the [[Court of Fortuna]] seeks to recover the [[Holy Blade of Sir Sebastian Brown|holy blade]] and [[Shield of Sir Sebastian Brown|magic shield]] of [[Sir Sebastian Brown]], as well as the [[Machete of Saint Bart]] himself, all of which are rumored to remain lost in the colony. While your crew is entitled to retain treasures of smaller repute, it is requested that a 5% share be allocated to the League. Furthermore, the [[Grand Duke Felipe Marino de Fortuna|Grand-Duke]] has emphasized the importance of returning any treasures originating from the aturi dwarves or other native people of Fortuna to the Court as part of their reparations efforts. Your crew will be under the guidance of myself, [[Aatratux the Resourceful]]. We will convene in [[Solace]] to discuss strategy and meet with the royal cartographer. May [[Saint Bartholomew the Finder|Saint Bartholomew]] bless your journeys, and may he be pleased when his treasure is discovered. Long live the vultures, [[Aatratux the Resourceful]] Grand-Vulture of the [[Scavenger's League of Fortuna]]
