The flagbearers was an ancient order of rangers and explorers from the [[Age of Colonization]]. They were tasked by the [[Empire of Light]] with exploring [[Ibir]], find treasure, and prepare the land for colonization. The most famous flagbearer was the Chief Flagbearer [[Saint Bartholomew the Finder|Bartholomew]], that was later canonized as a saint for his contributions to spreading the [[Church of Sol]] in [[Ibir]]. >[!caption|sban] >![[Debret_E23_p21.jpg]] >Art by Jean Baptiste Debret The flagbearers are seen as heroes by the [[Auroran|Aurorans]] and most [[Settler|Settlers]], but there are plenty of stories of them being cruel and ruthless with the local population, especially the [[orcs]], and as such, their memory are despised by a great deal of the native people of [[Ibir]].
