Those schools are: * [[Saint Mithrin College of Arcane Arts]] in [[University Gardens]]. The oldest and most traditional of the schools. Specializes in the studies of the arcane as well as scenic arts and plastic arts. * [[Royal Academy of Law and Warfare]] in [[Drake Dale]]. Training the next generation of nobles and leaders. * [[Saint Ceren School of Medicine]] in [[New Azuria]]. From primary care to complex operations. * [[The Veterinarian Institute]] in [[New Azuria]]. Specialized in large animals, with a ward for exotic animal health. ## History Founded by [[Seeker|Estelmite]] arcanists in 850 (in the [[Age of Colonization]]), the [[Saint Mithrin College of Arcane Arts]] was a reference in the studies of the arcane traditions of both [[Aurora]] and [[Ibir]]. With the growth of [[Lake Hope]], the [[Royal Court of Fortuna]] and the [[Imperial Army]] founded the [[Royal Academy of Law and Warfare]] in 861 to support the growing population and to educate the coming generations of nobles. The [[Saint Ceren School of Medicine]] gets built right after, in 864, with a strong veterinary program that would later branch off into their own building in 872, creating [[The Veterinarian Institute]]. During the [[Reign of Terror]], the [[Lucian]] filled the leadership of the schools with their own teachers, torturing and disappearing students that would question their methods. Despite that, student movements were crucial to provide a safe haven against persecution in the city, and eventually helping the [[Paladins of Saint Malcolm|Pink cloaks]] during the [[Campaign of Saint Malcolm]]. ## Membership Historically closed to members of the [[Royal Court of Fortuna]], the University is open for anyone to attend since the end of the [[Reign of Terror]]. Students must pass a competency exam to be granted a spot in the courses. ## Leadership The University is headed by a Chancellor elected by the city hall among the professors and administrators of the university.
