# [[Burnock Mill]]
Burnock Mill is an abandoned mill north of [[Kaagunud]]. It was the base of operations of [[Baron Uthrak]] and his gang.
The top floor has a magical millstone that grinds down items into a magical powder that can then be restored by adding water.
The records in the [[Brine Rapids]]' [[Imperial House]] archive show that the mill was co-owned by [[Baron Johnas Uthrak de Diamantine]] and [[Gunter Weiss]].
## Campaign Appearances
* [[Session 19 - Kaagunud]]: The party learns of group soldiers extorting a toll on a bridge next to an abandoned mill. [[Drakus Thunderheart|Drakus]] finds it odd and proposes to investigate, imagining it could also be where [[Dame Carlota Sandragon|DCS]] went to when she was in [[Kaagunud]].
* [[Session 20 - The Speaker]]: The party reaches the mill after some trouble with the law.
* [[Session 21 - Burnock Mill]]: The party encounters [[Baron Uthrak]] and his gang. They are defeated and [[Tryk]] is captured.
* [[Session 24 - Harrowing Journey]]: In an attempt to locate [[Tryk]], the party looks for the mill's documentation in the [[Brine Rapids]]' [[Imperial House]] archive.

>The destroyed Lego crane, millstone and watermill during combat in [[Session 21 - Burnock Mill|Session 21]]
Burnock Mill is originally from [Where Evil Lives: The MCDM Book of Boss Battles](https://shop.mcdmproductions.com/collections/where-evil-lives-the-mcdm-book-of-boss-battles?srsltid=AfmBOoo37vwvHtazrvF7WQgtXn4xDAQ72aW03xKlGNILnZsha-E-aihO) and it highlights humans as the primary villains of the adventure. The adventure was kept as close to the original as possible, including the name of the main villain ([[Baron Uthrak]]) that got turned into a family name from the [[Reign of Terror]].
I ended up building the miniature scatter terrain out of Lego because I wanted the crane featured in the adventure to be somewhat interactive, then I figured out I could use the gears and chain pieces as part of the combat encounters. It came in hand when I could disassemble the crane as it got destroyed in combat!
