## [[World Below]] >[!caption|sban] > >Image from Baldur's Gate III The World Below is a vast network of caverns deep beneath the continents and oceans of the [[Kamuria|Material World]]. It is a harsh environment for life to develop, but plenty of species and cultures have adapted to it, like the [[Duergar]] and the [[drow]]. Deep caverns and volcanic vents can provide passage between the surface and the World Below. In many cultures, there are stories about the horrors and the treasures that lie deep within the earth. In [[Aurora]], the [[Sha'at]] goblins were driven underground during the [[Reign of Terror]], and in the World Below, they found powerful artifacts that helped them to resurface and fight back the [[Lucian]] armies. In [[Ibir]], the [[Aturi]] had historically sealed off passages to keep monstrous creatures from the World Below away from the surface (the most famous being the [[Titan Seals]]), but many of their
