The city is preparing for war, and should receive the [[Knights of the Green Cloak]] soon to head to [[Castle Ember]]. * They check in the [[The Drunken Rattlesnake]] inn. * The party is interested in the many pictures hanging on the wall. [[Drakus Thunderheart]] investigates the walls to see if they are hollow, but doesn't learn anything. * [[Damrakas]] notices the cemetery across the window and heads there to investigate. Learns from the [[Daaru Norod|local priest]]. * The party notices the discomfort of [[Cobweb Correia]] and convinces them they could be good bodyguards. They learn that they were afraid of a [[Lucian]] they identified. She looked like an older lady when she checked in, but the innkeeper saw her at night praying to [[Vile King Lucius IV]] and identified her to the party as [[Dame Carlota Sandragon]]. She had a magic sword in a wrap. She took it somewhere and returned without it the same day. ## 9th of [[Germtide, 1049|Germtide]] ([[🌞 Sunny]]) * The party meets an [[Ourú-Krapok]] man coming from [[Ourú-Amru]] and complaining that soldiers of the [[Imperial Army]] charged him a massive toll for crossing a bridge near a local abandoned mill. * They learn from him that there might be a [[mermaid]] in that river. * [[Drakus Thunderheart]] thinks the description doesn't match what a proper soldier would do and they decide that the place is close enough that it could be a good place for [[Dame Carlota Sandragon|DCS]] to have gone with the sword. * On their way out of town, they notice a higher concentration of soldiers and knights in town. * The party is antagonized by [[Sir Omar Valério]] (a [[Knights of the Green Cloak|Green Cloak]]) and the soldiers that got scared of [[Drakus Thunderheart|Drakus]] the day before. * [[Sir Omar Valério]] insinuates all sorts of bad things about the [[Scavenger's League of Fortuna|League]], saying they caused trouble in [[Brine Rapids]] and that [[Drakus Thunderheart]] had been expelled from the [[Imperial Army]]. * The party begins by avoiding lethal damage, but after seeing their opponents weren't being so gentle, [[Drakus Thunderheart|Drakus]] uses his breath weapon. * One squire dies, many others are injured. * The fight is stopped by [[General Tauara of Termitópolis]] that demands all to lower their weapons and escorts them to see [[Speaker Guro Norod|the Speaker]]. * [[Damrakas]] hides in the crowd and is able to avoid being taken together. >[!tldr] Drakus' Notes >I discovered that [[Drakus Thunderheart|Drakus]] can get it personal if somebody insults his honour or allegiance to the laws… A stupid knight at the service of the Salgado guy started to insult him and he was really searching for troubles. So we started to fight. We did unletal damage but Drakus lost it and killed one of them more or less intentionally (cuz they weren’t holding back like us). Maybe something Drakus will reflect on :) >[!tldr] Bran's Notes >[[Bran Firethorn|Bran]] is usually rather impulsive and impatient (he lived long enough to get bored with repetitive human stupidity) so he doesn't rationalize his actions that well. >He does feel guilty for putting Drakus in a fighting situation that led the team to potentially committing a crime in the city of [Kaagunud] but he is stubborn enough to not admit that out loud. # Pictures * [Instagram Post](https://www.instagram.com/p/DE5KTq7N129/?img_index=1)
