The guard that saw them around the entrance of town didn't pay attention to where they went, but he assumes they didn't stay in the northern districts. >2. A hiker was coming from a camping trip at [[Hag Rock]], 10 km south of town, and he reports seeing someone leaving town, blaspheming nonstop about [[Saci]]s and her companions, and with a horrid stench of sweat and alcohol. The hiker was knocked over by this brutish lady as he was arriving town and he doesn't know where she went, but he reported it to the authorities. ## 20th of [[Germtide, 1049|Germtide]] ([[☁ Foggy]]) * The party awakes in the afternoon after travelling through the night. They stayed at [[The Rusty Mule]]. * [[Glamdur “Gramps” Torhondîr|Gramps]] warns the team about some people eyeing their cart as he goes to sleep and [[“Ratface” Ralnak|Ratface]] takes over the watch for the day. * They visit [[Wolfwood Crafts]] to talk to [[Sally Valleysworth]]. * The store has grown and she's been able to hire an employee ([[Juliana]]) since she arranged the sale of the [[Tapir's Member]]. * They confirm her father was a [[Lucian]]. He died 40 years before. Her mother also died when she was young. * They confirm that [[Baron Johnas Uthrak de Diamantine|Baron Uthrak]] was a friend of their father. * Her brother, [[Lord Arthur Valleysworth]], has repurchased their nobility title with some of the property they inherited from their father, which is also what allowed [[Sally Valleysworth]] to go to university. * [[Sally Valleysworth]] promises to arrange a meeting between the party and her brother tonight at [[The Loose Noose]]. * Reviewing the [[Letter to Gunter Weiss]], the party makes note of [[Fort Flagpost]] as a place of interest. * The party heads to the [[Shrine to Mboitatá]] to talk to [[Turmalina Goré]]. * She has not seen or heard about [[Beatrice the Cruel|a stinking woman]]. * [[Itxaro]] leaves the bones of the [[Headless Mule]] for [[Turmalina Goré]] to see if she can extract some magic out of it to help them find [[Tryk]]. * The party heads to the [[Goodwheat#Church of Sol the Forgiver|local church]]. * [[Drakus Thunderheart|Drakus]] and [[Itxaro]] have a conversation about where the gold in the church comes from. * [[Drakus Thunderheart|Drakus]] lights up a candle and tries to chat with a nun. [[Itxaro]] kept snuffing out his candle with his powers and the nun takes it as a bad sign and leaves. * The priest comes out of the confessionary booth and [[Drakus Thunderheart|Drakus]] asks some questions about a possible [[Beatrice the Cruel|stinking woman]]. [[Morgano Beltrão]] uses a spell to detect thoughts and learns that she has been here and asked for questions in the confessionary, so the priest keeps it as a secret. * Evening arrives and the party heads to [[The Loose Noose]] to meed [[Lord Arthur Valleysworth]]. * They inspect the place as they arrive. They notice [[Lord Arthur Valleysworth]]'s [[Willis|bodyguard]] sitting next to the booth that they occupy. * Lord Arthur is very friendly and pays for many bottles of fine liquor, becoming quickly inebriated. * He mentions too many times that he works with textiles. Confirms stories told by his sister about his father. * They learn Arthur had met other adventurers/mercenaries in the past, including people from the [[Skullbright Mercenary Company]]. * Arthur taps [[Willis]] on the head and he delivers an envelope with an invite to a party at [[Bonewood Manor]] the following day. * On the way back to [[The Rusty Mule]], the party hears an altercation coming from the stables and see a group of locals surrounding the wagon and knocking out [[“Ratface” Ralnak|Ratface]]. * The party tries to subdue the assailants to question them. * A shooter on the rooftop of a nearby shack hits both [[Morgano Beltrão|Morgano]] and [[Bran Firethorn|Bran]] with poisoned darts, immediately taking them out of combat. When it is noticed, it runs away.
