Confirms that the [[Creeping Curd]] creatures were created by a reaction to the [[Sky Asunder|strange weather]], as the necromantic energy in the air accelerated the curing processes that magically induce fermentation. * [[Damrakas]] goes [[Carousing]] in [[Caiman Shore]] looking for stories of fisherman about the state of the sky. * He learns of [[Isle of the Abbey|an island]] in [[Lake Hope (lake)|Lake Hope]] that is said to be haunted and stories say nobody ever got out of it alive. There he meets [[Sassafras]]. * [[Damrakas]] deals the weapons and armor they took from dead [[Imperial Army]] soldiers[^1] with [[Sassafras]]. * [[Sassafras]] shows [[Damrakas]] [[Ring of Devilish Occlusion|a magic ring]] that helps [[Devilborn]] hide their true nature, which becomes part of the deal as long as [[Damrakas]] promises to owe [[Sassafras]] a deal that is meant to help their fellow [[Devilborn]]. [[Damrakas]] initially distrusts this deal, but ultimately takes it after deciding that [[Sassafras]] was true to his beliefs. * [[Damrakas]] takes [[Joppyr]] as a body guard and goes to [[St Francis' Complex]] looking for [[True Gold Pawns & Loans]], where he was told he would find someone willing to sail the party to the [[Isle of the Abbey|mysterious island]]. * [[Damrakas]] uses the opportunity to check the illicit goods the store has at their disposal, which includes muskets with shaved off serial numbers. * [[Juvenal]] the clerk tells that he only knows on fisherman that would be willing to transport them to the island. They will meet the next day at the [[St Francis' Complex|Fisherman's Cliff]] to board the boat. * The party requests support from [[Aatratux the Resourceful|Aatratux]], and he provides a Scroll of [Revivify](https://www.dndbeyond.com/spells/2618956-revivify). ## Morning, 18th of [[Flowertide, 1049|Flowertide]] ([[🌌 Sky Asunder]]) In a gentle rain beneath a sky split by purple fiery strings, the party approaches [[Juvenal]] in the wharfs of [[St Francis' Complex|Fisherman's Cliff]]. * An elderly man in preparing his boat. He is presented as [[Juvenal Senior]]. The transaction is concluded and they board. * They agree with [[Juvenal Senior]] that he will leave them in the [[Isle of the Abbey]] and pick them up again next day. The party will be given a rowboat to reach the island. * [[Drakus Thunderheart|Drakus]] uses the spyglass to check the island as they approach. * The island has dense foliage, a large strip of sand, and a ring of pointy rocks surrounding it. * [[Drakus Thunderheart|Drakus]] sees ruins of the abbey atop the island, their walls somehow melted and corroded. * As they arrive with the sailboat as close as they can get, the party embarks the rowboat and head to the island. [[Drakus Thunderheart|Drakus]] gives a motivational speech as they approach the sand dunes. * At the sandy beach, the party pulls the rowboat inland and moor it so it doesn't get pulled by the tide. * As they traverse the dunes, the sand starts shifting. Thousands of bones start to coalesce into an army of skeletons and giant juggernauts of bone. Battle erupts and the party ends up victorious. Before they can savor their victory, more skeletons start forming.
